A skilled cadre of instructors and an excellent student to teacher ratio.
The cost of our program is $7.50 per student, inclusive of all materials and ammunition.
Note: After completion of this course, you will need to complete your registration on the DNR's website which will require an additional $7.50 fee paid to the state of MN.
Full instructions will be provided to each student.
Eligibility and Enrollment
To take this class, you must be 11 years of age or older on the first Monday of class. Sorry, no exceptions. The DNR will not issue you a certificate if your 11th birthday is after this date. The first night of class a parent or LEGAL guardian is
required to sign a release authorizing the Post 435 Gun Club Instructors to allow minors to handle and fire guns. Without this authorization, a minor will not be allowed in class!
NOTE: adult behavior is expected from ALL students who enroll. Immature behavior
is grounds for dismissal from the class.
HOMEWORK is a requirement for successful completion of this class. Failure to
complete homework assignments is grounds for dismissal from the class.
Enrollment is limited and space for this class is in high demand. Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Absence from the first session, more than one session, or field day for any reason constitutes an incomplete course, sorry.
If you cannot make all classes and field day, please sign up for a different
course here: www.dnr.state.mn.us/safety/firearms/index.html#calendar
