Thank you for your interest in the Post 435 Junior Shooting program. We will be starting our air-rifle program with an orientation meeting Tuesday, October 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room at American Legion Post 435 at 6501 Portland Ave. S. in Richfield.

It is important to attend this meeting if you are interested in participating this year. I'll outline what to expect and answer questions during the first half and cover some terminology, rules and calendar in the second half.

If you decide to join, We will practice at the Legion every Tuesday night (except Christmas & New Years) through April. A parent should also attend the meeting to sign a permission form and become acquainted with the program.

Dues for the year are $30 and we provide virtually all equipment needed and even pay match fees for competitions. I am still working on details for air pistol and small-bore practice, but will probably practice on alternating Thursdays.It will depend on available range and meeting room time. I should have a pretty good idea by October 30.
